Land Transfer Project for the Modern Characteristic Agricultural Demonstration Zone of the Mango Industrial Park in Tiandong County
Tiandong County is located in the western part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Its territory resembles a giant mango, a striking coincidence given that it has been dubbed the “Home of Mangoes in China.” Blessed with favorable natural conditions, Tiandong County lies in the Youjiang River Valley, where the soil is fertile, sunlight and heat are abundant, and rainfall coincides with the warm season—making it one of China’s most suitable regions for mango cultivation. In 1985, Tiandong County launched an ambitious program to expand mango production, establishing itself as a major commercial mango‑producing base in the Youjiang River Valley. The county has since prioritized the development of this sector as a pillar industry to revitalize its rural economy and help residents in this old revolutionary area escape poverty and achieve prosperity. The county boasts 37 distinguished mango varieties, with a total planting area of 130,000 mu and an annual output exceeding 30,000 tons. Among the many cultivars are Tiandong Qingmang (Guiqi), Zihua Mang, Hongxiangya, Tainong, Yuwen, and dozens more; varieties such as Yuwen, Jinhuang, and Keitt are even exported to Japan.
China Mango Culture Expo Park, with a total investment of RMB 106.0006 million, comprises the following facilities: a site covering 136.05 mu and a total floor area of 20,738 square meters. Key components include the China Mango Expo Hall, the Mango Product Experience Center, a mango variety demonstration garden, an international mango exchange center, and a mango-themed cultural leisure plaza. The China Mango Trading Center, with a total investment of RMB 160.6851 million, features a 10,000-square-meter mango trading greenhouse, a 20,000-square-meter comprehensive service complex, a cold-chain distribution zone with a storage capacity of 10,000 cubic meters, a 10,000-square-meter post-harvest processing facility, a 10,000-square-meter agricultural input distribution center, and a 5,000-square-meter multi-purpose service building. The project is being constructed by Guangxi Construction Engineering Group No. 1 Construction Co., Ltd., while Guangxi Fengyuan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. is responsible for fabricating the steel structures for the plant buildings, greenhouses, plazas, and other facilities, primarily producing box-section steel columns, steel beams, steel staircases, and circular tubular columns, with an estimated steel consumption of approximately 2,000 tons.
